Vibrotactile Perception Meter

Vibrotactile Perception Meter

Measurement of vibrotactile thresholds on the fingers, hand, foot, and at other body locations. Vibrotactile thresholds may be used to assess sensory changes associated with neurological dysfunction. This is a second-generation device developed from the HVLab Tactile Vibrometer.

Multi-channel plethysmograph

Multi-channel plethysmograph

Measurement of finger systolic blood pressures following cold provocation of the fingers or the measurement of finger blood flow by venous occlusion. Finger systolic blood pressures measured at different temperatures are used to detect problems in the vascular response to cold (e.g. vibration-induced white finger). Finger blood flow can be measured to determine factors that influence vascular circulation in the fingers.

8-channel temperature monitor

8 channel temperature monitor

Measurement of finger skin temperatures following cold provocation of the hand. The recovery of finger skin temperature at eight locations on the fingers can be monitored and used to assess vascular dysfunction.

Thermal aesthesiometer

Thermal aesthesiometer

Measurement of thermotactile thresholds at the fingers, hand and foot. Thermal thresholds for warm and cool sensations and thermal pain may be used to assess sensorineural dysfunction.

Instrument manager

Instrument manager

Automated data retrieval from HVLab diagnostic instruments connected to computer via a USB connection. Provides the user with a simple interface for entry of subject details, clinical information, and storage of test summaries.
